Coin Purse

I made this on a whim one day. It is rather customizable, so this pattern is more of a guide than strict instructions.

Materials

• 2 skeins of yarn (I used one skein of worsted weight and one skein of bulky that were similar colors, but you can do what you want)
• Size K crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• 1 appropriately-sized button

With both yarns, ch 17
Row 1: Sc 16
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc 16
Row 3: Ch 1, turn sc 16
Row 4: Ch 2, turn dc 16
Row 5-15: Repeat rows 1-4 (row 15 should be a sc row)
Fold in half
Sew sides together
Row 16: Ch 1, turn, sc 16
Row 17: Ch 1, turn, sc 1, dec, sc 10, dec, sc 1
Row 18: Ch 1, turn, sc 1, dec, sc 6, dec, sc 1
Row 19: Ch 1, turn, sc 1, dec, sc 4, dec, sc 1
Row 20: Ch 1, turn, sc 1, dec, ch 2, dec, sc 1
Row 21: Ch 1, turn, dec, sc 2 into ch space, dec
Row 22: Ch 1, turn, 2 dec
Row 23: Ch 1, turn, dec
Finish off
Weave in ends
Sew button on, positioning it so that it can go into the button hole made in row 20
